We would like to send our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Ronald Douglas who sadly passed away just before his 91st birthday.
Colin Browne contacted us recently, advising us of Ronald’s passing and wanting to organise a donation in his memory.
“Every year for the last 10 years, barring the last couple of years for obvious reasons, we have been purchasing what you need at the time and bringing up to you in the name of Ronald Douglas of Great Bookham in Surrey. Sadly he passed away on the 20th March 2022 but most of his estate will be going to support animal welfare. He was 90 but his 91st birthday would have been on the 5th May 2022. My intention is to fill the car boot with whatever you are needing and bring it up.”
Colin contacted the Ileli supermarket in Alsancak to place an order.
“All credit to Dave at Illeli as it was all ready to pick up and they reduced the price on the tins of cat food so we got more bang for our buck.”
We would like to say a very big thank you to Colin for organising these fabulous donations over the years, to Dave at Ileli for the generous discount he arranged and of course to the family and friends of Ronald.
Below there are the photos of the car full of donations and of happier times of Ronald at a picnic at Polesden Lacey, near where Ron lived, back in 2015.
