We have been looking at our end of year 2018 figures and KAR’S ‘Snappy Snippers’ (our vet team) have, during 2018, neutered 830 cats – yes you read correctly 830 cats snipped !!. Plus 26 dogs from our Rescue Center were also snipped !.
Every cat that we have neutered has had the tip of the left ear snipped off – so everyone knows that it has been neutered and the cat will not add to the cat population.
Whilst the cats are with the KAR ‘Snappy Snippers’ they undergo a health check, they are wormed, and antibiotics are given if needed to help with their recovery.
Our calculators and abacuses have given up ……given up trying to work out how many unwanted stray kittens we have prevented.
Well done everyone who has been involved in the KAR community cat neutering during 2018 – your help has made an enormous difference to the stray cat population in the TRNC.
