We receive no government assistance for the work we do with the neglected, injured and homeless animals of North Cyprus. All our funding comes from donations, animal sponsorship, legacies, our charity shop and money raising events.

More delightful dresses for sale at our Ozankoy shop - open Monday to Saturday 9.30am to 1pm.
Wedding and engagement season is upon us. We have just received a lovely donation of dresses - here's a selection, with more to follow in a separate post.
We do have a beautiful wedding dress and veil which we will show case next week.
The dresses are for sale at our shop in Ozankoy - open Monday to Saturday 9.30am to 1pm - come and take a look!

Puppy surprise!
This sweet girl was brought into our rescue centre for neutering. However, on both occasions when she was taken to the vets to be spayed, she was found to have issues, which needed medication. So back to the centre she came each time, so she could receive the medication she needed.
Then on Friday she gave birth to 7 puppies! All are doing well at the moment and Mum is keeping a watchful eye on them. When they are old enough, they will need their vaccinations so more expense at a time when we are struggling financially.
Any donations towards their upkeep will as always be gratefully received. Donations can be dropped off at either of our shops, Saturday Lapta Sunset market or the rescue centre. Or you can donate into our bank account or through Paypal -https://www.kartrnc.org/how-can-i-help-kar/donate/
Please put "7 puppies" as the reference so we know where to allocate your donation. We will post updates as the puppies continue to grow.

We are in desperate of someone to help clean the dog compounds at our rescue centre. If you like dogs, are not shy of doing physical work and prepared to get a bit grubby, then we would love to hear from you. Full training will be given.![]()
Transport is available from west of Girne, with various pick-up points on the way to the centre in Arapkoy. It will be an early start at the moment because of the heat and work starts at 7am. So pick-ups, depending on where you live, will be around 6am. ![]()

Marbles would like to say Thank You to those of you who made a donation towards the recent anti-venom appeal. You may remember that she was the latest dog to be bitten by a snake a few weeks ago, which led to our appeal. ![]()
Thanks to you, we raised nearly £300 and at £70 a time, the anti venom we purchased will help to save the life of 4 more dogs if they are unfortunate enough to be bitten by a snake.![]()
As you can see, Marbles made a full recovery and is looking so much better.

Alfie is still looking for his forever home. This sweet kitten is now about 4 months old and is such a sweetheart, just look at his cute face!![]()
He is currently at our rescue centre here in North Cyprus so if you think you might just like to offer Alfie a home, then please come up and meet him. Our opening hours are currently 8am to 11am (because it's still so hot!) every day.![]()

Stella's story.![]()
This beautiful English pointer was dumped as so often happens here in North Cyprus. She was very skinny and after she arrived at the rescue centre, she caught the attention of our friendONEDOGISNODOGNODOG and they arranged to take her to Germany.![]()
Stella was then fostered for a while and the happy news is that her foster carer fell in love with her! She now lives in Rugen with her very own pack of four legged friends and she just loves to go hunting in the woods like the hunting dog she was born to be.![]()

Our rescue centre is in desperate need of old newspapers. They are used for lining cages, so they get through an awful lot.![]()
Donations of newspapers can be left at our office/shop in Ozankoy (open Monday to Saturday 9am to 1pm) or the rescue centre (currently open 8am to 11am every day of the week)![]()
