YAY itttt’sssss Friday and time for KAR FGF……YAY

Often the elder generations amongst us moan and complain about the “youngsters of today” for various reasons (not so polite, not so helpful, not so hardworking etc etc) but that cannot be said about these youngsters ….
ESK students who are part of the ESK Helping Hands Group had designed and been selling their 2019 calenders ….. all of the monies raised has been donated to KAR.
They recently visited our Rescue Centre and presented us with a cheque for 7060TL – What a fantastic amount and what a fantastic thing for these youngster to do.
During their visit it was amazing to see, even the most nervous of students , begin to feel calmer and much more comfortable with touching and stroking the dogs. It was special to see the way the students interacted with the cats and dogs and listened intently as they learnt more about what we do, why we do it, and what we hope to do.
With youngsters such as these there is plenty of promise for the future of the animals in TRNC.
As Franklin D Roosevelt said ….
” We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future.”

My wife and I have been associated with this fantastic charity for over 15 years both as volunteers fund raising repairs bathing and walking whole compounds of dogs not forgetting the cats have a few to keep the dogs inline the chair Margaret and the loyal staff have taken some stick from some uniformed people over the years easy to bash harder to put your hand in your wallet and donate. The charity is under pressure due to vast overheads and awful distemper out break last year.
Please help any way you can.

This is Magic….. She so needs a happy ending. Please open your home to her. She has been with us for 4 years. She came in as a tiny kitten, her other siblings got homed and so was she, so she was put on the reserved list. In the mean time we had three other people who would have liked to have given Magic her forever home but she had been reserved. Last year 2018 we were informed that the person who was going to home her couldn’t, so poor Magic is still at the centre just wanting her forever home and to be loved, that’s all she is asking for. Let’s make this 4th time lucky! SHE IS READY TO TRAVEL INTO EUROPE. JUST NEEDS HER FLIGHT AND A LOVING HOME.
