??????????

Results of the Art Exhibition… Thank you to everyone involved.

What a day – weeks in the planning and preparation culminated in the 1st ever KAR Art Exhibition and Sale. The Fez Catalkoy kindly provided the venue and it really set the scene.
Being the 1st time we had held such an event it was a little worrying – had we got it right ?, were the prices ok ?, would people come ? etc

Over 70 exhibits were on display – displayed beautifully in the Fez setting. All of the exhibits had been donated – and some of the artists were there on the day. The exhibits included original oils , local scenes, original batiks, prints, and so much more.
The exhibition was due to begin at 4pm but people began arriving at 3.20 ! The Fez quickly filled up with over 50 people chatting, sipping Prosecco Punch, nibbling on the very tasty canapes, looking at the Art works, talking to the artists and queuing to buy their chosen pieces. The whole ambience of the event was lovely – a quality event enjoyed by everyone.
.
KAR would like to thank everyone who came along on the day and supported us and also those who bought pieces. Thanks also to everyone who donated such lovely pieces and to the local artists who gave up their own works and time to came along. Thank you to The Fez for hosting the event and for the wonderful canapes they gave the guests.
Thank you to Jacky and Ingrid for your help on the day and in the days beforehand
Thank you to Patsy and Edina for all of their hard work in organising the whole event – you WERE/ARE truely Ab Fab.

We needn’t have worried – THEY got it right – it was a Fab event which raised a Fab amount of money………………….
7074TL in total.

Team KAR did it again.  (photos available in the gallery)

Please be aware if planning a trip to the Centre

Please don’t be disappointed. A visit to the Centre is not just about walking the dogs, its about the cats, the work we do and the help we need to keep going. Please visit, but no dogs can be walked after 9.30am. But there are lots of other things to do!!!!!!!

You will not only be judged on the quality of the photograph but also what the subject depicts.

As well as winning a lovely prize the winning photograph in each category will be used as part of the 2020 Calendar.

The theme for the competition is ‘Life on North Cyprus Streets’, it is up to you how you interpret it. As long as your photographs capture the essence of ‘Life on North Cyprus Streets’ then you are in with a chance.

This competition is not a fundraising event it is to raise awareness of the life of the dogs and cats that live in love and harmony side by side with the local community on the streets of the TRNC.
