OCTOBER NEUTERING FIGURES

Thank you – to everyone who helped us with our Cat neutering program in October.
The members of the public, the cat catchers, the KAR vet and assistants, the office ladies – you have all helped us to neuter 26 females and 20 male stray cats in October.
How many unwanted kittens has that stopped ????
Well done Team KAR – together we are all making a difference.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOOOO YOUUUU

We all had a real treat in the KAR office today. 🎂 C A K E 🎂 An early birthday celebration for Kim our Pet Travel expert. And no she’s not letting on how old she is but to us she’s our superstar anyway.
Happy Birthday Kim!!

WILL IT BE 2ND TIME LUCKY FOR HAMISH?

This handsome young man is Hamish. Hamish was dumped at the centre on our rubbish pile along with his 2 siblings when he was just a tiny puppy. We were so pleased when he found a home but then saw his photo on Facebook as a lost dog. So we collected him and contacted his owners but they never bothered to come and get him – how heartless!😡Hamish is now 2 years old so still a young dog – can you give him the home he so badly deserves? The centre is open every day between 9am and 1pm if you would like to come and meet Hamish – he will be very pleased to see you!

BRINGING ME SUNSHINE

Today’s senior dogs are Pebbles and Eric – both lovely, friendly dogs who have been at the centre for many years. Pebbles was one of a litter of pups and she was the only one not to find a home. Eric and his brother (guess what his brother’s name is – clue “Give me Sunshine”) also arrived as pups and have remained at the centre ever since. There is a home somewhere for them – all we have to do is find it – please share amongst your friends so we can find a forever home for these older dogs. Even if you can’t offer one of them a warm, cosy home you can sponsor them for just £10 a month – it all helps to care for the dogs and cats at the centre. Pebbles and Eric say “Thank you for watching our video!!”

HELP AND SUPPORT OF A DIFFERENT KIND

We are always trying to find ways to save money, ways to reduce bills – to help with the large amounts of money that we have to spend on vet treatments, meds, dog/cat food etc – to help us to care as best we can for our 300+ cats and dogs.
So imagine our delight at a very recent donation.
A fully installed solar system for our Rescue Center.
Alp was changing his own system and approached us (and a few other good causes) to see if we would be interested in having his old system, and to discuss how it would help, which was still in excellent working condition. Once he had spoken to the other “good causes” he would then decide which “cause” should have the system. A difficult decision rested on his shoulders.
We were delighted to find out that we were the very lucky chosen ones and this week Alp arranged for the system to be installed.
Thank you so much Alp for choosing KAR and also for supplying/fitting the very generous and very useful solar system.
Happy Days for us — but maybe not for KibTec – let the sun keep shining.

BILBO – ANOTHER OF OUR GOLDEN OLDIES

As it’s Adopt a Senior Dog month – here’s one of our senior dogs! Bilbo has been at KAR since 2012, when he arrived as a tiny puppy – he has now been with us for nearly 9 years. That’s a long time for a dog to live in a rescue centre, despite the care and attention all our dogs get. It would be wonderful if Bilbo was offered a loving home to spend his twilight years – are you the person who can offer him this?

CHRISTMAS & NEW YEAR TREATS FOR OUR ANIMALS

Christmas is only round the corner and everyone likes a treat at this time of year and that includes the dogs and cats in our care. For only 10tl (less than £1 sterling) you could provide one of our animals with a special Christmas Dinner and a further 10tl will give them a New Year treat too. Your donation can be given to the Rescue Centre, or the Office in Karakum or there are payment details on the KAR Website.  Thank you so much, every little helps.

SPANGLES & SNICKERS – A RIGHT PAIR OF SWEETIES

Here’s 2 of our puppies having fun in the sunshine! They look like they’re having a great time!! Spangles and Snickers are now 3 months old and looking for their forever homes – can you offer them a home? We really don’t want them to spend the rest of their days at the centre. Please come and see them if you are interested – we are open every day between 9am and 1pm.

DOES THIS LOOK FAMILIAR?

Odd or broken earrings, bits of old jewelry put away in drawers never to see the light of day again? Don’t know what to do with them? Well we do! You can give them to us to help provide the care that all our lovely cats and dogs need. You can bring them into the office in Karakum or any of our 3 shops to help us. Please will you do this? Thank you

DO YOU HAVE LOVE FOR ANOTHER?

It is always such a terribly sad time when your beloved pet has traveled over the Rainbow Bridge – give yourself a little time and then think about how much love you gave to them – could you do the same for another ?
