MAVI

This is Mavi’s appeal for a forever home (with a cameo appearance from our three-legged beauty Daphne!)
Mavi came to us with a bad injury to one of her legs, which has healed nicely. She is about 9 months old and has the most beautiful eyes. She is very friendly and affectionate, and she just loves attention.
As with all our dogs, Mavi is vaccinated and microchipped. Please come and meet her if you are interested in offering her a home. The rescue centre is open every day between 9am and 1pm.

CHICO

This very handsome young man is Chico (with a guest appearance from Daphne)
Chico is one of the C litter that we posted a few weeks ago and we are sad to report that only one of that litter has found their forever home. He is now 11 months old, very friendly and placid. It looks like he is a GSD cross, in fact the litter are all very different!
He would love a garden to run around in and a family to love & care for him – it’s not much to ask. Please come up to the rescue centre and meet Chico if you are interested – we are open to visitors every day.
Please share for Chico and let’s find him that forever home.

THANK YOU

A very big thank you to this wonderful couple who braved the bitterly cold and snowy weather last weekend to donate 2 bags of dog biscuits. Hopefully they will see this post but if you do happen to know them please send them our gratitude for their fabulous donation.

DENIZ

This handsome young man is Deniz. He is now 10 months old and would love a home of his own.
He is a very sweet cat and he would make a wonderful companion for someone. Could that person be you??
If you would like to meet Deniz, please come up to the rescue centre and meet him. We are open every day between 9am and 1pm.

TEDDY AND TARA

We recently posted a video of these 2 siblings but sadly there was no interest whatsoever in them! How disappointing.
Tara & Teddy are now about 12 weeks old and lovely, healthy pups. We don’t think they are going to be very big once fully grown so won’t take up too much room! They love cuddles and also like to explore their surroundings – typical puppies.
Please don’t let them spend the rest of their lives at the rescue centre, they so deserve a forever home. The centre is open every day between 9am and 1pm if you think you might be interested if offering one (or both!) of them a home.
Please share for Teddy and Tara – thank you!

DONNIE AND DUDLEY

These two cuties are Donnie & Dudley and they are appealing for a forever home!
As you can probably guess, they are siblings but they don’t need to be homed together. They are now about 9 weeks old and have just started their vaccinations.
They are both in very good health and love to play & explore. We would really love for them to find a home so if you are interested, please come up to the centre and meet them. Our opening hours are 9am to 1pm every day.
Thank you for watching!

SKY

This beautiful little girl is Sky and she is looking for her forever home.
Sky is only about 3.5-4 months old and she was brought to the centre after she was found dodging traffic on the main road in Girne. So she is very very lucky to be alive!
As you can see, she is a lively young pup and she would just love a family to call her own. If you are interested in offering Sky a forever home, then please come up to the centre to meet her. We are open every day between 9am and 1pm.

ESME

Esme has a very sad tale to tell.
She has lived in a loving home for all of her life – 13 years. Unfortunately her owner recently became ill and tragically passed away. Esme lived in the garden of her home for a month before coming to the rescue centre.
As you can imagine, she was very frightened when she arrived. A dog who has lived in a home and being of advanced years as well, finds life in a rescue centre very traumatic.
Esme has settled down a bit – she is eating well, likes to go for short walks and loves to sleep in her bed. But a rescue centre is not the place for her – she needs a new loving owner to look after her in her twilight years.
If you think you might be able to offer Esme the security and comfort she needs, then please come up to the rescue centre and meet her. We are open every day between 9am and 1pm.
Please share for Esme and let’s find her the 2nd home she so desperately needs and deserves.

UPDATE FROM WALLY

We have received this update from Wally’s new mum.
“Wally is doing well and has made lots of progress. He loves going on his walk in the park every morning and having a little play with the other dogs. We’re now doing basic training, like sit and recall, which he is picking up quickly (clever boy!). And he’s been on holidays to both Devon and the Cotswolds (lucky boy!). And generally, he’s just a real fuss pot and loves nothing more than a cuddle and strokes.
We’re still working with our behaviourist to help with his anxiety – he’s not comfortable with strangers in our home or street walking so we’re focussing on both of those now.
We’re very proud of him and definitely smitten. I’ve attached some recent photos for you to enjoy!”

POSTCARD FROM HANDAN

“Hi Everyone at KAR,
It’s me! Handan! – I’m typing this with my big paws. I’ve just got back from my first holiday in a cottage near the sea in Norfolk.
Well I like having a Mummy and Daddy to take me on holiday very much. I went in some pubs. I don’t know if you know what a pub is but it’s a place where everyone tells me I’m beautiful and gives me treats and Mummy drinks ‘wine’ and tells everybody where I came from. Mummy loves this ‘wine’ stuff, but not more than she loves me.
Mummy and Daddy say I’m a very good girl except this one time on the beach when I rolled in a rotting seal carcass. Oh it was such fun. We had to open all the windows on the drive back to the cottage and Mummy said I was ‘very smelly’ which I think means beautiful and clever. I never knew I liked rolling so much. I don’t know why they bathed me and ruined my beautiful new fishy, poopy perfume.
I ran on the beach lots too everyday. Then I did some amazing napping with my new friends Scooter and Fozzy.
I also went on a boat for the day. Mummy worried that I might be frightened but it was no big deal, I was so calm and liked looking out of the window at the birds. Why would a boat bother me? I’ve been on a plane y’know.
Anyway. I must go now for cuddles. I just love cuddles with Daddy and a bit of TV in the evening. Goodbye. Love From Handan xxxxx “
Very Happy Days Handan xxx
