GIGANTIC thank you to all our visitors this week!!!!!! Your generosity has been staggering, in emotional support, physical support and financial. We can only do this, with your help. Pat yourselves on the back, you are our KAR Heroes, each and every one of you.

Itsssss Friday and we know what you are waiting for ….. time for some KAR FGF !!!
Day in day out week in week out we deal with cats and dogs – occasionally we become involved with other animals .. but a BEAR !
You may recall we had advertised Name the Teddy … and the winner would get to keep the Teddy Bear. Well on Thursday it was time to open the sealed envelope to reveal his name ………. Baloo… the Bear.
The winner was Yasmin Underwood and here is what she has to say ….
“I would just like to thank the KAR Office Angel for encouraging me to enter the competition to find the name of the bear. Kim (from KAR) called me this morning she asked if I could take a long term booking for the cattery – and he is quite large! It never occurred to me that it might be the bear even when she said the boarders name is Baloo – to which I replied, “But that’s a bears name!”. Kim then said “Yes it is and you have won him in the competition!! ”
I wouldn’t know what to do with a bear – especially such a large teddy bear so i took on KARs advise and contacted Claire who helps with the Ziyamet Special Needs School.
So next week I will be passing Baloo over to Claire who is going to taking him on a “Teddy Bear’s Picnic” with the children from the Ziyamet School. He will have a very loving home and hopefully bring a big smile to their faces.
Thank you to KAR for all the good work they have done and continue to do.”
We are sure that Baloo is looking forward to his new home – he is travel prepped and is all ready to go.
Bye bye Baloo – and to everyone who entered the competition – Thank you.

The sun has certainly got his hat on – if anyone is coming to walk our dogs please remember to come as early as possible to avoid the worst heat – please bring your hats, sun cream and drinking water. We are open daily from 9am to 1pm.
It’s getting hot out there so take care.

We still have a large selection of puppies at the centre waiting for new homes. Any dog or cat from the KAR centre will be fully vaccinated and neutered by us for you!!! 9am-1pm 7 days per week.

Following on from the photos of the dogs and the need for sponsorship and rehoming, here are a few of our cats, from the sanctuary at the centre. They also need sponsoring and homing!!!!!! (We are an equal opportunities Centre)……

If you aren’t able to get to the centre to visit our furbabies. Here a few looking for Sponsorship. Please email the office for a sponsor form….. kartrnc@gmail.com £10 per month, makes all the difference.
