UPDATE on mum and five kittens

mum and 5 kitten update

Early December we reported on a group of kids playing with kittens and needing immediate rescue.

The mother cat and the kittens were surrendered to the Centre. We then appealed for homes.

the good news….

all five kittens were homed together and thrive in their new home

mum is now neutered and vaccinated and named Lucy and also thriving

Great news for the end of the week…

thank you to our wonderful supporters and networkers who made this happen. These 6 lives would have not lived without you all.

Valentines Event

Today we launch our Valentines Event.

Meal options are chicken or vegetarian, ticket only event, available from KAR Office in Ozankoy and direct from Tropicana.

Limited numbers so a real exclusive event.

The wonderful Rachel will be singing for us, sponsored by Beyler and Co, long time supporters and didn’t flinch when asked to pay, in fact gave us enough to book Rachel again later in the year!!!

an urgent need for Vetmedin

VETMEDIN

This drug is used at the centre for our dogs with heart issues.

We rely on the medication being donated by ex users.

We have costed the medication here with our vet and it currently sits at 2170TL (£60).

We are asking that if any supporters here in the TRNC have a supply they could donate, we would be grateful.

Animal medication cost is due to rise in Jan 1st, if you would like to make a donation via the banks here or UK or via PayPal, the details are on our website.

Microchip registration

INFORMATION REMINDER

when you microchip your puppy/dog.

Don’t forget to take the microchip form and vet book to the government vet, to register on the main computer.

This is is the most important part of the procedure.

The Girne Vet Department is opposite the State Hospital and cost 10TL.

Baxter and Bentley

Baxter and Bentley

A long journey for these 2 lovely pups. Found beginning of August 2023 dumped on one of the tracks at the centre at 8 weeks old. Starving and very thin.

A few days later parvo was diagnosed and treatment started.

After recovering from the parvo they then showed signs of mange. The mange was also treated and they have started their vaccinations. Baxter and Bentley are now looking for their forever homes.

They have recovered and will be neutered. Beautiful, quiet and very serene.

please consider them if looking for a new companion or companions!!!!! Visit them 9am-1pm, 7 days a week.
