Big thanks go to Eileen and Eser who have just spent 5 days volunteering with us.
We last saw them 3 years ago when they came to help us at the rescue centre so it was lovely to see them again. They were on holiday all the way from America!
They brought other members of their family to help walk dogs, which our four-legged friends really enjoyed. Akan, a family member who lives locally, also came along to help walk dogs and also groom dogs!
Not only did Eileen and Eser help us, they also brought a fantastic donation of goodies with them for our Christmas bazaar. How kind was that?!
Thank you again Eileen, Eser, Akan and all the other family members who came up to volunteer. We hope to see you again before too long!

Necat College visit

14 students and 2 teachers from Necat School in Alsancak had a planned visit to the Centre this week.
Staff were very impressed and commented
‘Great school asking lots of questions interacted well with animals’

Christmas is coming….. ho. ho. ho..

Get ready for Christmas!
Our Christmas Bazaar takes place on Saturday 26th November at Sandals Restaurant between 10.30am and 2pm. There will be lots of stalls with fun things to buy and who knows – Santa might just make an appearance!
All proceeds from the event will help care for our dogs and cats at the rescue centre so please put this date in your diary and come along to support us.

Our Rodney.

Today’s appeal for a forever home is from Rodney.
This handsome boy was found abandoned along with 2 siblings when he was just a tiny puppy. Not only had they just been dumped and left to fend for themselves, all three then tested positive for parvo. Thankfully they responded to treatment and made a full recovery.
Rodney is now coming up to six months old and is fit and healthy. He is a medium sized boy, very friendly and loves affection from the centre staff and volunteers. Of course, what he needs most of all is a forever home.
If you think Rodney is the boy for you, then please come up to the rescue centre to meet him. We are open to visitors every day between 9am and 1pm.

We are looking for Volunteers in our Girne shops.
If you would like to join our small friendly team, in support of raising funds for KAR, we would love to hear from you.
We have volunteering roles in sorting, pricing, merchandising, customer service and sales.
If you have some time available, are interested in animal welfare, you’re welcome to come and see what we’re all about and then decide if it’s for you.
The shops in Girne are open Monday, Wednesday and Saturday 10-1.
Also in Gladrags Mon-Fri 930-1pm

Happy ever after Clyde

We love it when any of our dogs and cats find a forever home, but it is particularly special when one of our older residents is chosen. One such lucky chap is Clyde, who went to live in Germany earlier this year.
