mutley update

❤️mutley update❤️
For those of you unaware. Mutley is an elderly boy, whose owners died within a year of each other. He was left at the house with kindly friends feeding him. He was surrendered to the Centre as living in a garden with winter approaching was not good.
After a few weeks we ran a repeated campaign to get him into a home as centre life is difficult for previously owned house dogs..
Up stepped Amanda.
Here is her update…. get the hankies ready….
The boy ❤️ Mutley – absolutely ruined. Thinks he rules the roost – very much loved – adored and totally spoilt here. Loves my gorgeous husband now too.
When I brought Mutley home I slept with him on the floor for 6 nights – on the 3rd night he cuddled me so his attachment to me is huge but … he now adores Ian too. Jumped on him on the bed this morning to go for a walk 6am 😂😂
He’s our gift and we will give him the very best of end of life years possible
He’s been a very much loved dog – his nature and character – awesome. He would have died in KAR couldn’t have that.
Love him to pieces.
Love him to pieces.

Geri

❤Geri❤
Geri was found with her brother Mungo, late last summer, dumped in the garden of an empty house. She is nearly 10 months old. Mungo was rehomed almost immediately, but Geri still waits…
She’s fully vaccinated and neutered, just wants her own home.
She is a playful, friendly little girl and would make a wonderful companion.
Visit Geri and her cohorts, every day 9am-1pm
You can sponsor Geri, by contacting the office

❤️Happy ever after❤️
These photos speak for themselves.
Here is our Darius (now Floyd), living his best life after recently being rehomed and transported to Germany.
Be happy darling boy, the photos say you are.

Tina Milner and her Angels

❤️KAR Angels❤️
At the end of June long time dedicated Supporter Tina, visited the centre with 2 friends on holiday.
Goody bags for all the dogs and cats were delivered, then Jackie made a generous donation via our UK bank which helped with a water delivery, much needed in June!
❤️Tina stepped up at the beginning of the year when Little E needed her amputation and paid for the operation and rehabilitation.
It’s lovely to meet our supporters and be able to give them the recognition they deserve
Thank you ladies you really are our personal ‘Charlie’s Angels’.

Precautionary closure of the Centre.

📢DISTEMPER📢
there is NO distemper within the Centre. This closure is to safeguard our vulnerable dogs.📍
We have received reports of distemper being present in the TRNC. As a precautionary measure, we are closing the centre for all visitors
We apologise, but know you will understand the devastation we suffered in 2018.
We will advise when we reopen
Thank you for your understanding

Distemper in the TRNC

Please read the information below.
📍 Prevention via vaccination is the best way to protect your dog. It is not 100%, but can help, especially with puppies, vulnerable and elderly dogs.
📍it is highly contagious within the canine world.
📍if your dog shows any of the symptoms listed below, seek immediate vet help. It will not get better on it own.
Its a terrible disease, look after your dogs and report any sick dog you see to your nearest vet.

kai

❤️Kai❤️
Kai was found recently in a supermarket car park. Trying to survive on the outskirts of an established pack.
Limping terribly, emaciated, shaking, he was whisked off to the vet where it was established his blood count was virtually non existent and he would have died with days.
The blood parasite diseases (there were 3) were treated, his leg was treated
Iron tablets, mass intake of vitamins, a good diet, physiotherapy on his leg…
He is now a healthy 8 month old puppy with terrible trauma behind him.
Due to the Centre being closed, we ask you to contact the office in the first instance to register your interest.
Or sponsor him Kartrnc@gmail.com
You can donate for his medical bills into our UK bank account, or here in the TRNC. At Creditwest.
📍even though we are closed, the dogs and cats still need homing, we will continue our daily posts for homing and sponsoring.
