Christmas Bazaar 2023

This year’s major fundraising activity for KAR is our Christmas Bazaar, being held at the MC Palace Hotel, Catalkoy, in their Gala Ballroom, on the 25th November. There will be the usual KAR stalls (including a delicious cake stall) and parking is very easy down the side road to the left of the hotel. Please note that entry can be either through the main hotel or via the swimming pool area.
Thanks to the generosity of MC Palace, all those attending will be able to take a cup of coffee or tea from the ‘refreshment area’ outside of the Bazaar area; there will also be seating areas dotted around for everyone to sit for a good natter!
We are also hoping that we may have a ‘special visitor’ taking time out from preparing for the following month and making a surprise early visit to the TRNC.
See you on the 25th – NOVEMBER that is!!!!! 🤶 🎄 🎁

Following Tripods hernia operation and recuperation…
We are happy to announce, that he landed himself a forever home!!
No more chasing cars and scrapping in the Car Park at Ederner…
His life has been saved and now has a permanent home.
Thank you for the networking across social media, he went ‘home’ at the weekend.
Be a good boy.. we are all so happy for you.
Tripod is now Billy and has a sister called Phoebe.

Alice has been with us since 2017 when she arrived with her siblings as puppy survivors of a mass area poisoning.
She loves to sunbathe and can be found on top of her kennel taking in the rays 🌞
6 years. Facing another year at the centre.
Are you her personal ray of sunshine?

This beautiful girl is about 9 months old.
She was abandoned by her owners and is now looking for her forever home.
She is a beautiful, lively, friendly girl.
She is fully vaccinated and neutered.
She needs her own home to grow and fulfill her potential, meanwhile if you can’t offer her a home at this time, you could sponsor her for £10 per month. Contact our office for details Kartrnc@gmail.com

❤️Tagg. The wonderful happy ever after…
Tagg was one of Kar’s neuter and return dogs from the early days..
Due to recurring eye problems in 2012 he was brought into the centre for the care of his eye. The eye could not be saved and 2016 it was removed.
He had been living with Dilara, but at 13+ really needed to be in a home, so a campaign started to get him a cosy sofa in a home to see out his twilight years.
It worked. He has that sofa.
Its never too late for these oldies.
Vist us, 9am-1pm, 7 days a week…

🐶🏫🌟 Heartwarming Day at Bellapais School! 🌟🏫🐶
Today, our Year 6 students had an incredible experience meeting Daphne, a loving rescue dog from Kyrenia Animal Rescue Center!
These compassionate young minds not only got to know Daphne but also lent a helping hand to the amazing team from Kyrenia Animal Rescue Center, delivering the donations from World Animal Day for our furry friends in need.

World Animal Day Donation 2023

❤️World Animal Day 2023❤️
We received a call from Bellapais School informing us that we had been selected as 2023 recipient of the annual donation drive to help the vulnerable animals of the TRNC.
So, having been summoned to the teachers office, off we went on Monday to meet with Miss Alice and Miss Dervish.
Wow… what a donation it was.
Elaine took Daphne to meet the children and staff and what a hit she was, she was offered the position of school mascot as everyone immediately fell in love with her. The children were fabulous, all lined up to meet her and she responded with smiles and wags for everyone.
We then all looked around for help in loading the van, and the children offered to load the van for us….
So it began…. we only just managed to close the doors and Daphne had to travel back to the Centre in the front seat as there was no room!
💕Bellapais School… you are amazing. Your students, polite, helpful and aware.
💕We left… without detention and a promise that we would return, and an open invitation for visits to the Centre to help with animal awareness and good practice with animal welfare.
💕There are a lot of photos of the children loading the van… because, nothing was too much trouble, they wanted to help and we want to recognise their efforts..
Educate. Educate. Educate. These children are the future of change for animals in our world.
