As many TRNC residents know this week saw the departure of a favourite newspaper author. Shortly after Stephen left, on Tuesday morning, we were on our way to Ercan with his little cat Baby. We had been warned , several times, that although she was only a little cat that her “attitude” was huge !! The necessary alerts were on her travel box for our colleagues at HARC !!!
Well she was a complete “pussy cat” – not one grumble or hiss – nothing. Just bright eyed watching everything going on around her/us with interest. She was, it seems, on her best behaviour.
Although we knew that it was unlikely that Stephen would be picking up his emails whilst travelling we still kept sending updates to both him and Wendy who was waiting, in the UK, anxiously for Baby to arrive.
We knew, from our UK colleagues, that her clearance had been completed and that she was on her way home. But it was still nice to receive the following update from Wendy.
” Thanks for your latest update on Baby…….. such a relief that Baby turned up safe and sound at just after 5 pm yesterday.
Baby has settled so very well and more or less straight away ate and used her new litter tray when I put her in it. We’ve kept her in certain rooms and then opened up others and she’s been fascinated exploring every nook and cranny in each one. So I can honestly report one very happy little cat.
Thank you for all you’ve done in arranging her transfer to the UK”
Oh and ” Stephen arrived safely in the UK and cleared arrivals at Birmingham in no time at all. “
Bye bye Stephen and bye bye Baby – Happy DAY’s x
