WARNING – NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED

Everyone involved in Animal welfare (here and across the world) hope that what we are doing will make a difference, will reduce suffering, will increase awareness of animal welfare issues – and will lead to a better understanding and better lives for the animals that we are concerned with.
It comes as a massive blow to us when we are faced with incidents that seem, to us, as if everything that we have been trying to do has been ignored. Sadly this week has seen us upset, angry, questioning why – why has this been done ??? !!!
Very recently after hours spent looking we found (after being tipped off) MANY dogs DUMPED deep in the Besparmak Mountains. They had all been DUMPED together.
Amongst them was this poor little chap.
Apart form the cruel malicious act of DUMPING him (along with the others) is the awful knowledge that he must have been suffering for ages. How much pain must he have been going through before we found him.
How could ANYONE have ignored his suffering and not taken him for treatment ?
How can ANYONE have starved him so much that we can count his little bones ?
It simply is, to us, beyond comprehension.
He is in a safe place now, with us, and he is receiving urgent medical attention. He has people with him now who will help lessen the pain from his missing nose , will have his Leishmania controlled, will treat his Ehrlichia, will build him back up, will love him like he has never been loved before, will clean and bathe him as he needs – we will just Care – because it is what we do. But all the while we are doing this – there are others out there who will continue to treat animals in such a cruel and evil way.
We have named him Buttons – he is approx 1 year old and as you can see from the pictures he is very poorly. He has a long bumpy road to recovery but we hope that we can help him get there. One day in the future our Buttons will be looking for his Cinderella and Prince Charming to be his new “family”.
In the meantime if you feel that you want to contribute to his care and treatment then please donate as little or as much as you can. You can donate via our website www.kartrnc.org or by into UK Bank ( Bank Details: HSBC UK: 40-21-02 Account Number 11364812 IBAN No:GB94HBUK 402102 11364812

please mark your donation “For Buttons”
We are trying to establish exactly who dumped the dogs – enquiries are being made in the hope that SOMETHING will be done about it ??!! But for now we are making visits, into the mountain, to feed them and check them over for any health problems – which if found we will deal with.
